Important Notice!
For their safety and well-being, children 9 years old or younger
must be accompanied by an adult when using the library.
Parents are requested to park their cars and come into the library to
pick up their children at least 15 minutes before closing. Employees will
leave at closing time.
Library Rules for Behavior
Nota bene: Each location
of the Flint River Regional Library System has separate policies and
procedures regarding the use of their facilities. Those listed below are
for the Griffin-Spalding County Library. Please call your local library for
information regarding the use of their facilities.
The following behavior in the Library is not considered acceptable
- Loud, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior.
- Moving Library furnishings.
- Bringing food or beverages into the Library.
- Smoking or chewing of tobacco.
- Littering.
- Loitering
- Using restrooms improperly.
- Wandering aimlessly.
- Rudeness to employees or other patrons.
- Sleeping.
- Abusing books, materials, equipment, or Library property.
- Not wearing shirts or shoes.
After the first warning, the offender will be
requested to leave Library premises and will be readmitted only with the
Librarian's approval.
